Tablet-based IoT attendance & access control
My role: I own Muaref end to end — product direction, hardware/software integration, and delivery.
Access control is usually sold as software bolted onto someone else’s hardware. Muaref is both — a tablet device I designed to run attendance and access control as one integrated product.
I built Muaref as a standalone IoT device that also plugs directly into Ektefa: QR, PIN, face, and location-based attendance with geo-perimeter restrictions, wired into locking systems for one-time, time-boxed, or point-specific access control.
In a two-year span, Muaref has sold over 1,200 units, bringing in more than $426,000 in revenue — hardware-grade proof that the product works where it’s installed, not just in a demo.
